Rush Associates in Women’s Health is an academic practice dedicated to providing you with the most comprehensive, up-to-date medical care available. All of our physicians are active board candidates or board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and strive to promptly treat your urgent women's health needs. Our services also include annual examinations focused on preventive care.

Rush Associates in Women’s Health provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to women of all ages, applying leading-edge technologies. Office locations include a site on the Rush University Medical Center campus and a new clinic located in the Medical Office Building on the Rush Oak Park Hospital campus.

 

MEET OUR TEAM

Allison Chen-McCracken, MD, completed medical school at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and her residency at Rush University Medical Center. She has clinical expertise in abnormal pap smear, birth control, endometrial ablation, endometriosis, gynecologic infections, adolescent gynecology, hormone replacement therapy, irregular periods, laparoscopy, menopause, miscarriage, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), premenstrual syndrome, urinary incontinence, vaginal birth after C-section (VBAC), and yeast infection.

 

Robin Jones, MD, completed medical school at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and her residency at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. She is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and has clinical expertise in birth control, dyspareunia, endometriosis, gestational diabetes, gynecologic procedures, hysterectomy, laparoscopy, menopause, placenta previa, polystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and uterine fibroids. Jones also has research interests in the prevention of herpes simplex virus transmission in heterosexual couples, clinical studies of MX6 in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia or carcinoma in situ, and biphasic oral contraceptives in women with dysmenorrhea.

 

​Joseph Maurice, MD, is the Director of the Section of General Gynecology and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He completed medical school at Chicago Medical School, his residency at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, and his fellowship at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. He is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and has clinical expertise in abnormal pap smear, abnormal uterine bleeding, endometrial ablation, endometriosis, gynecologic infections, gynecologic procedures, human papillomavirus (HPV), hysterectomy, laparoscopy, ovarian cysts, pap test, pelvic surgery, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), robotic surgery, uterine fibroids, and yeast infection. Maurice has research interests in cosmetic appearance of robotic surgery scars and local anesthetic toxicity in laparoscopic surgery.
Carrie Smith, MD, is the Director of Reproductive Ambulatory Health Care and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush Medical College. She completed medical school at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and her residency at Rush University Medical Center. She is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and has clinical expertise in abnormal pap smear, birth control, childbirth, chlamydia, dyspareunia, gestational diabetes, gestational hypertension, gonorrhea, adolescent gynecology, herpes, hysterectomy, irregular periods, laparoscopy, pap test, pelvic pain, placenta previa, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), prenatal care, sexual dysfunction, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and women's health.

Michelle Ventura, MD, completed medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and her residency at Bethesada North Hospital. She is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and has clinical expertise in abnormal pap smear, abnormal uterine bleeding, birth control, chlamydia, ectopic pregnancy, endometriosis, gonorrhea, adolescent gynecology, herpes, irregular periods, ovarian cysts, pelvic pain, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), prenatal care, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), uterine fibroids, vaginitis, and women's health. Ventura also is fluent in Medical Spanish.

Murali Vinta, MD, completed medical school at Saint George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, and his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. he is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and has clinical expertise in abnormal pap smear, abnormal uterine bleeding, birth control, childbirth, chlamydia, endometrial ablation, family planning, gestational diabetes, gonorrhea, gynecologic procedures, herpes, laparoscopy, pap test, prenatal care, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), tubal ligation, vaginal birth after C-section (VBAC), and women's health. Additionally, he is an Assistant Professor and is fluent in Telugu.

 

Sloane York, MD, MPH, is the Director of the Section of Family Planning in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School and her residency and fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and has clinical expertise in abnormal uterine bleeding, abortion, birth control, childbirth, chlamydia, family planning, gestational diabetes, gonorrhea, adolescent gynecology, herpes, hysterectomy, laparoscopy, placenta previa, preconception counseling, prenatal care, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), teenage pregnancy, tubal ligation, and women's health. York also has research interests in family planning, contraception for women with cancer, medical education and simulation based education, teaching surgical procedures, and abortion and contraception.
